KAPUTT GONE WEST

High-octane Glasgow group Kaputt have shared their exhilarating new single 'Gone West'. Out now via Upset the Rhythm, the speedy sonic entanglement is an impactful combination of wiry guitars, gnarly bass and rampant drums. Feral saxophones and sparkly synths occasionally make their way to the forefront, whilst the socially-minded lyrics ponder capitalism and gentrification using somewhat abstract imagery. Vocalist and guitarist Cal Donnelly says: Gone West is about the migration of affluence, when industry clashed with the living standards of the wealthy. The smoke blows East, so the money moves West.” Listen to 'Gone West' and be on the look out for news of Kaputt's second album. -Holly Mullineaux
